Travel Recreation (12U-19U)
Seashore Soccer League proudly sponsors teams within the Eastern Carolina Soccer Association (ECSA) for the following age groups:
- U12 (Boys & Girls)
- U14 & U16 Middle School (Boys & Girls)
- U19 High School (Boys & Girls)
Founded in 1995, the Eastern Carolina Soccer Association (ECSA) is responsible for organizing and scheduling recreational travel soccer throughout the region. ECSA operates independently with its own Board of Directors and staff, who oversee league structure, rules, regulations, and scheduling for all participating clubs.
While SSL sponsors teams competing in ECSA, it is important to note that SSL does not manage or control ECSA operations, including scheduling, policies, or disciplinary decisions. All players, coaches, and parents are encouraged to review ECSA’s official rules and guidelines on their website.
Although this program is classified as recreational, it does include travel and a higher level of competition compared to in-house (U10 and below) programs. Teams will travel to play other clubs within the ECSA network and compete in structured league play.
Season Overview
- Approximately 8 games per season (4 home, 4 away)
- Most home games are played at Rotary Park
- Games are typically scheduled on Saturdays and/or Sundays
- End-of-season single-elimination tournament for each division
- Tournament locations are hosted by various ECSA member clubs
Important Notes
- SSL sponsors teams but is not responsible for game scheduling, rescheduling, or forfeitures due to team availability
- Participation requires commitment from players, families, and volunteer coaches due to travel and competitive play
