Eastern Carolina Soccer Association (ECSA) Travel Recreation

Seashore Soccer League will sponsor teams within ECSA for the following divisions of play:

  • 12u (Boys & Girls) Division
  • 13u-15u Middle School (Boys & Girls) Division
  • 16u-18u High School (Boys & Girls) Division

Eastern Carolina Soccer Association was founded in 1995 for the purpose of scheduling recreation travel soccer within the area. ECSA has it's own Board of Directors and staff that determine the levels of play, rules and regulations, and scheduling for all clubs/teams that participate. Eastern Carolina Soccer Association (ECSA) is the scheduling league for affiliated soccer associations within the area that plays recreational soccer (U9 –U19) at the youth level.

SSL will sponsor 12u - 18u teams only.  SSL will sponsors teams to participate and does not directly manage, operate, or administer the scheduling, rules, or policies of ECSA. Although recreational soccer is that soccer program that is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high-level competition, please keep in mind that any player or team scheduled by ECSA will travel and will experience a level of competition above that of in-house recreation at under-10.  SSL will not be responsible for any game scheduling, forfeiture of games due to "No Shows", or shortages of players. All volunteer coaches, players, and parents should review the ECSA general rules and policies found o their website.

There are generally around 8 games per season, 4 home games and 4 away games. Most home games will be played at Rotary Park. Games will be played on Saturday, Sunday, or both days. At the end of the season there is a tournament for each division. All teams will participate in this single elimination tournament. Each tournament will be hosted by 1 ECSA Club. An example would U12 boys tournament might be held at JASA, U12 girls at SSL, U15 boys at HYSA.

SSL is here to provide each player with an opportunity to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game.
