The 93 Seashore Soccer League (SSL) Riptides of Morehead City won the Matt Helms Memorial Shootout Tournament (August 11-12, 2007) at the Onslow Classic Soccer Association (OCSA) Tabernacle Complex in Maysville. The U14 Girls Division, which consisted of 7 teams, was broken up into two divisions for the tournament. The Riptides won their division, posting a record of 2-0-1 against competition from Southwest Onslow and Cleveland, NC. The Riptides advanced to play the winner of the other division, the 93 OCSA Coastal Crew, who had amassed a record of 3-0. The Riptides defeated the Coastal Crew 3-2 to win the tournament. In total, the Riptides outscored their opponents 17-2.
