93 SSL Riptides win Beast of the East Tournament

The 93 Seashore Soccer League (SSL) Riptides, a U15 Girls Second Division Classic team from Morehead City won the 2009 Beast of the East Soccer Tournament held February 7th and 8th in Greenville, NC. Throughout the tournament, the Riptides amassed an overall record of 4-0 by defeating the Wake Forest United, the Outer Banks (OBX) Storm, the Greenville Stars, and the Goldsboro Lady Sting. In total, the Riptides outscored their opponents 13-0

93 SSL Riptides Win DHS Indoor Soccer Tournament Championship

The 93 Seashore Soccer League (SSL) Riptides, a U15 Girls Second Division Classic Soccer team from Morehead City won the Dixon High School (DHS) Indoor Soccer Tournament held at Dixon High School, 10-11 January 2009. The Riptides competed in a division consisting of 5 teams, and compiled a record of 4 wins, 2 losses, outscoring their opponents 15-8. Last November, the Riptides completed their Fall 2008 season undefeated, earning a first place finish in the 93 Girls Second Division East Classic bracket. With that first place finish, the Riptides earned a promotion to First Division Classic for the Fall 2009 season.
